About the Work

The first cage is the woman they taught her to see.

A woman confronts her reflection inside an ornate frame while male attendants hold it in place and present a tray beneath. The image has been composed and preserved by the same order that defined virtue as obedience. THE MIRROR captures the instant she recognises the reflection as programming—not identity—and begins to search for the woman hidden behind it.
